Since 1987, glass has been my passion and profession. During my formative years - spent under some of Denmark’s master glass artists - I learned the craft of working and controlling this remarkably fluid material. In 1996, I established the studio “Glasseriet”, and since have enjoyed the daily pursuit of an ongoing exploration of matter, technique, and personal vision.
Over time I have crafted thousands of handmade, mouth blown glass pieces, driven by a fierce desire to achieve the optimal balance between shape, colour, and the physical boundaries of the glass itself. My focus is on Scandinavian inspired designs, where Nordic history, nature and personal touch come together in unique and expressive works, appealing to both the senses and inner spirit via a play between colour combinations and physical harmony. In some instances I choose to highlight the fragility of glass by introducing metal into a piece, letting the two materials unite in a contrasting, symbiotic state. Galleries and Art Associations in Scandinavia and abroad have exhibited my work, and prominent design and art shops sell my unique glass pieces for practical use in everyday life.
